91 pts. - 2012 Sauvignon Blanc, Hummingbird Hill Vineyard
What a great Sauvignon Blanc, a fine followup to the 2011. A 100% varietal wine, it's brisk and clean with acidity, along with complex flavors of Meyer lemons, limes, ripe white peaches, honey and a touch of golden mangoes. Only neutral oak was applied, which allows the fruit to star.

- S.H. Wine Enthusiast, November 2013

PINOT NOIR

91 pts. - 2015 Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
Moderate garnet color in the glass. The nose opens slowly over time revealing aromas of dark cherry, spice, fertile earth and mesquite. Mid weight plus flavors of black cherry, blueberry-pomegranate and cherry cola are embellished with toasty oak in the background. Wellrounded, integrated tannins and texturally appealing with a soft and sleek mouthfeel...those who favor oak-embossed Pinot Noir will love this wine.   PinotFile, June 2017

91 pts. - 2014 Pinot Noir, Sonoma County
Sourced from Sangiacomo Vineyard in southern Sonoma (Los Carneros). 100% Pommard clone. 100% de-stemmed, 5 to 7-day cold soak extended maceration from 3 to 4 weeks. Aged 9 months in French oak barrels, 30% new. · Moderately light reddish purple color in the glass. Seductive scents of ripe Bing cherries, forest path and clove. Forward drinking and enticing with mid weight flavors of black cherry, blackberry, cola, spice and tobacco. The tannins are harmoniously supportive and the silky texture is tres Pinot.   PinotFile, June 18 2016

90 pts. - 2013 Pinot Noir, Sonoma County
Ripe and rich in fruit without resorting to excess and clear in its focus on varietal red cherries, the aromas of this full-bodied wine are direct and unreserved, and there is a consistent line of open, tasty character in the mouth as well. A touch fleshy in feel and possessed of early velvet in its texture before late-arriving tannins rough it up a tad, this is a fine choice for drinking now if young, rich Pinot is on the menu. There is no question, however, that it can age nicely for three to five years if given the chance.

90 pts. - 2013 Pinot Noir, Sonoma County
Bright and juicy with fresh cherry and savory notes; silky and fresh with racy acidity and good length.
–Anthony Dias Blue, Tasting Panel Magazine, May 2015

94 pts. - 2012 Pinot Noir, Sonoma County
Moderate reddish purple color in the glass. Lovely aromas of Bing cherries, raspberry coulis and spice. The nose is literally intoxicating and persistent in volume even when sampled later in the day from a previously opened bottle. Bright, refreshing and light on its feet, with a delicious core of light to mid weight Bing cherry fruit accented with notes of tobacco, mocha, sassafras and sweet oak. The combination of balance and a light touch is hard to resist in Pinot.

PROPRIETOR'S BLEND RED

88 pts. - 2012 Proprietor's Blend, Sonoma County
Bright and juicy with lively blackberry and spice; lush, dense and smooth with medium weight and good length.
–Anthony Dias Blue, Tasting Panel Magazine, May 2015

90+ pts. - 2008 Proprietor's Blend Red, Sonoma County
Seriously fruited and decadent, yet holding onto a sense of balance, the 2008 Cosa Obra Proprietor's Blend is a mix of 90% Syrah and 10% Grenache that was aged for 20 months in 50% new French oak.  Loaded with creamy blackberry, charcoal, wet slate like minerality, licorice, and toasty oak aromas on the nose, this powerful, rich blend has a full-bodied, richly textured mouth feel, masses of ripe fruit, and plenty of rustic tannin and underlying structure.  Slightly coarse and unformed on the finish, this is still more than a little impressive and deserves 1-2 years of bottle age to fully integrate and flesh out. It should have 5-8 years of prime drinking.
–Jeb Dunnuck, TheRhoneReport.com, December 2011

89 pts. - 2009 Proprietor's Blend Red, Sonoma County
